Doctors and Home Oxygen Prescribers

BOC has been delivering HMOT services for over 20 years, providing home medical oxygen to thousands of patients in New Zealand. BOC offers a range of oxygen concentrators, oxygen cylinders and other equipment.

If your patient will receive HMOT through a DHB, the DHB will manage the patient’s equipment setup.

If you have a private patient who is paying for their equipment, BOC will advise the patient on setting up their home oxygen equipment.

Prescribing Home Medical Oxygen Therapy:

HMOT is typically prescribed to treat low blood oxygen after diagnosis through an arterial blood gas test or pulse oximetry.
